วิธีติดตั้ง Skype 4.1 บน Ubuntu 12.10

นับว่าเป็นข่าวดีสำหรับสาวกลินุกซ์ที่ใช้ Skype อยู่ เพราะว่าตอนนี้สามารถอัพเกรดไปเป็นเวอร์ชั่น 4.1 ตามฝั่งวินโดวน์แล้ว ซึ่งมีฟีเจอร์สำคัญคือรองรับ MSN แล้ว ขั้นตอนติดตั้งมีดังนี้ For Ubuntu/Xubuntu/Linux Mint 32-Bit

    $ sudo apt-get install libxss1
    $ cd /tmp
    $ wget http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-linux-ubuntu-32/skype-ubuntu-precise_4.1.0.20-1_i386.deb
    $ sudo dpkg -i skype-ubuntu*.deb

For Ubuntu/Xubuntu/Linux Mint 64-Bit

    $ sudo apt-get install libxss1
    $ cd /tmp
    $ wget http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-linux-ubuntu-64/skype-ubuntu-precise_4.1.0.20-1_i386.deb
    $ sudo dpkg -i skype-ubuntu*.deb

ส่วนใครที่ติดตั้งแล้วไม่ผ่านหรือว่าเกิดเออเร่อเนื่องจากได้ติดตั้งเวอร์ชันก่อนหน้านี้ไว้แล้วให้ถอนเวอร์ชันเก่าออกก่อนโดยใช้คำสั่งดังนี้

    $ sudo apt-get remove skype skype-bin
